A Delegation from the Bangladesh Armed Forces Visited the Raytheon Institute for an On-Site Inspection
From 7 to 11 August, a delegation from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, led by Generals Md Towhid Hossain and Md Masudur Rahman, visited the Raytheon Institute for an on-site inspection. The visit focused on optoelectronic technology, shipbuilding and laser equipment, examining the Institute's technical capabilities, equipment applications and supply capacity.

The delegation proceeded to the Raytheon Institute of Optoelectronic Technology. Accompanied by staff, they toured the fourth-floor exhibition hall, the basement-level laboratories, and the first-floor product demonstration area. Personnel provided detailed explanations of key technologies including optoelectronic detection equipment and intelligent control systems, with on-site demonstrations of core functionalities for selected instruments. Members of the Mongolian delegation expressed keen interest in high-precision sensors and optoelectronic countermeasure systems. Subsequently, both parties held discussions, engaging in in-depth exchanges on technical parameters and application scenarios. They reached a consensus on strengthening cooperation and advancing project implementation.

The delegation proceeded to the manufacturing base of our institute (a subsidiary of CHHGC Group). They gained an in-depth understanding of shipbuilding processes, observed the operation of digital production lines, and engaged in detailed discussions with technical personnel regarding propulsion systems and other aspects. The Mongolian delegation expressed recognition of the construction techniques and quality control systems, affirming their compliance with the efficiency and reliability requirements of modern naval vessel manufacturing.
The delegation witnessed live demonstrations of laser anti-UAV equipment in Zhengzhou. The system successfully engaged a drone travelling at 200 kilometres per hour from a distance of one kilometre, achieving objectives including penetrating steel plates and downing the unmanned aerial vehicle. Bangladeshi military officers highly commended the demonstration's effectiveness, noting the technology's significant advantages and expressing intent for further collaboration.

This visit established a robust platform for technical exchange and collaboration between the two parties. Through on-site inspections and operational demonstrations, the Bangladeshi delegation gained in-depth insights into the technological capabilities of the Raytheon Optoelectronics Technology Research Institute and its partner enterprises in optoelectronics, naval systems, and laser technologies. Moving forward, both sides will engage in detailed discussions on specific cooperation directions, jointly advancing collaborative initiatives and expanding international market operations.
