Frequently Asked Questions
The LSPEC 160 Radon Detector has a detection limit of ≤10 Bq·m⁻³, making it highly sensitive for measuring low radon concentrations in various environments including indoor air, soil, and water sources.
The LSPEC 160 is equipped with a backup battery that provides a minimum of 6 hours of continuous operation, making it suitable for extended field measurements and remote site surveys without access to mains power.
After successful installation and acceptance, the instrument manufacturer provides a one-year free warranty covering the entire system. In addition, lifetime maintenance support is available to ensure the long-term performance and reliability of the equipment.
The LSPEC 160 features an automatic barometric pressure correction function, which continuously adjusts measured values based on real-time atmospheric pressure readings. This ensures accurate and reliable radon concentration data regardless of altitude or weather changes.
The internal storage of the LSPEC 160 can hold at least 5,000 complete measurement results, each including full energy dispersive spectroscopy data. When the storage capacity is reached, the system uses cyclic coverage to overwrite the oldest records, ensuring continuous uninterrupted operation.
The LSPEC 160 is widely used across multiple fields including: drinking water and mineral water quality testing (radium and total alpha determination), engineering foundation soil radon surveys, construction and environmental geology quality inspections, public health environment monitoring, and indoor/outdoor ambient air radon concentration detection.
